Dollar Falls, Stable Foreign Currencies in Egypt
The foreign exchange market in Egypt witnessed a notable decline in the US dollar's value today, with the selling price reaching EGP 52.63, marking a 1.29% decrease compared to yesterday, while the buying price remained at EGP 51.90, according to Bekam data.
On the other hand, prices of other foreign currencies remained relatively stable. The Saudi Riyal was priced at EGP 14.03 for sale and EGP 13.84 for purchase. The Qatari Riyal recorded EGP 14.46 for sale and EGP 14.26 for purchase.
The Kuwaiti Dinar reached EGP 170.3 for sale and EGP 167.93 for purchase, while the Jordanian Dinar was priced at EGP 74.23 for sale and EGP 73.2 for purchase.
As for the British Pound, it was recorded at EGP 71.03 for sale and EGP 70.04 for purchase, while the Euro reached EGP 61.26 for sale and EGP 60.41 for purchase. Lastly, the UAE Dirham was priced at EGP 14.33 for sale and EGP 14.13 for purchase.
These figures indicate relative stability in the market, except for the significant drop in the dollar, reflecting global and local economic changes impacting the Egyptian market.
