Dollar Stable, Gold Prices Slightly Rise in Egypt
The Egyptian market today witnessed a stability in the exchange rate of the US dollar, recorded at EGP 52.61 for selling and EGP 51.88 for buying, reflecting a slight decrease of 0.04% compared to yesterday, according to Bkam data. Meanwhile, gold prices saw a slight increase, with 21-karat gold priced at EGP 6,815 per gram, marking an increase of EGP 19 from yesterday, representing a 0.29% rise.
Gold prices for 18-karat increased to EGP 5,842 per gram, up by EGP 17, and 24-karat gold reached EGP 7,788 per gram, up by EGP 22. The current gold market is balanced with low volatility, indicating relative price stability in the current period.
Additionally, other currency rates remain stable, with the Saudi Riyal at EGP 14.03 for selling, the Qatari Riyal at EGP 14.45, and the Kuwaiti Dinar at EGP 170.1 for selling. The British Pound recorded EGP 70.79 for selling, and the Euro at EGP 61.2.
These movements come as investors monitor global market fluctuations and the impacts on the local economy, as Egypt continues to face multiple challenges related to inflation and exchange rate volatility.
