Gold and Currency Prices Steady in Egypt Today
The Egyptian markets witnessed relative stability in gold and foreign currency prices today. Gold 21K recorded a price of 6300 EGP per gram, while the international ounce price stood at 3923.58 USD, according to Bkam data.
Gold 24K was priced at 7200 EGP per gram, with the international ounce at 4484.09 USD. Meanwhile, Gold 18K remained at 5400 EGP per gram, and the international ounce was 3363.07 USD.
Regarding foreign currency prices, the US dollar was recorded at 49.59 EGP for buying and 50.29 EGP for selling. The Saudi Riyal stood at 13.22 EGP for buying and 13.41 EGP for selling, while the Qatari Riyal was at 13.62 EGP for buying and 13.82 EGP for selling.
The Kuwaiti Dinar recorded 160.65 EGP for buying and 162.92 EGP for selling, and the Jordanian Dinar was at 69.95 EGP for buying and 70.93 EGP for selling. The British Pound recorded 66.98 EGP for buying and 67.92 EGP for selling, and the Euro was at 57.27 EGP for buying and 58.08 EGP for selling. Finally, the UAE Dirham was at 13.5 EGP for buying and 13.69 EGP for selling.
These prices indicate a relative stability in the Egyptian markets amidst global economic and trade fluctuations, enhancing the local market's strength in facing economic challenges.
