Gold and Foreign Currency Prices Rise in Egypt
The Egyptian markets today witness a notable rise in gold and foreign currency prices, according to Bkam data. The price of 21K gold registered an increase, reaching 6325 EGP per gram, while 24K gold hit 7228.5 EGP per gram. The 18K gold was priced at 5421.5 EGP per gram. These increases occur amid a relative stability in international ounce prices, with the 21K ounce priced at approximately 3865.63 USD.
In terms of foreign currencies, the Egyptian markets experienced significant fluctuations. The US dollar reached 51.25 EGP for sale and 50.54 EGP for purchase. The euro was recorded at 59.52 EGP for sale and 58.69 EGP for purchase. As for the British pound, it reached 69.28 EGP for sale and 68.32 EGP for purchase.
Regarding Arab currencies, the Saudi riyal was priced at 13.67 EGP for sale and 13.48 EGP for purchase, while the Kuwaiti dinar reached 166.25 EGP for sale and 163.94 EGP for purchase. The Emirati dirham was priced at 13.95 EGP for sale and 13.76 EGP for purchase.
These changes come amid ongoing global and local economic pressures, directly impacting the Egyptian market and enhancing fluctuations in currency and gold prices.
