Slight Increase in Egypt's Gold Prices Amid Market Volatility
Gold prices in Egypt saw a slight increase today, with 21 carat gold rising by 0.29% to reach EGP 6815 per gram, an increase of EGP 19 from the previous day, according to 'Bakam' data.
Additionally, 18 carat gold rose to EGP 5842 per gram, marking a 0.29% increase, equivalent to EGP 17 compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, 24 carat gold reached EGP 7788 per gram, up by 0.28% or EGP 22.
Despite these slight increases, the market is experiencing noticeable volatility, with technical analyses indicating a short-term downward signal for 21 carat gold prices, with high volatility at 12.4%, reflecting the market's instability.
Regarding the US dollar, it saw a slight decline of 1.29%, with the selling rate reaching EGP 52.63. This decline in the dollar rate may enhance gold's appeal as a safe haven for investors in the Egyptian market.
It is noteworthy that short-term forecasts suggest continued fluctuations in gold prices amid current global and local economic conditions.
