Stability of Foreign Currency Prices in Egypt
Foreign currency prices in Egypt demonstrated notable stability today, according to "Bkam" data. The buying price of the US dollar was recorded at 51.86 EGP, while the selling price stood at 52.59 EGP, indicating a relative steadiness compared to previous days.
Regarding Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal's buying price was 13.83 EGP and the selling price was 14.02 EGP. For the UAE Dirham, the buying price was 14.12 EGP and the selling price was 14.32 EGP. According to "Bkam" data, the Kuwaiti Dinar's buying price reached 167.67 EGP and the selling price was 170.03 EGP.
As for European currencies, the Euro's buying price was 60.46 EGP, while the selling price was 61.32 EGP. The British Pound recorded a buying price of 69.69 EGP and a selling price of 70.68 EGP. Finally, the Jordanian Dinar was bought at 73.14 EGP and sold at 74.17 EGP.
This stability in currency prices comes amid global market fluctuations due to recent geopolitical events, such as the lifting of the maritime blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, which directly impacted oil and gold prices but has not significantly affected currency prices in Egypt so far.
