Stable Dollar and Slight Gold Drop in Egypt
The Egyptian markets today experienced slight fluctuations in gold prices, as the price of 24-carat gold decreased by 0.22% to reach 7,743 EGP per gram, reflecting a decline of 17 EGP compared to yesterday, according to Bkam data. Similarly, 21-carat gold, the most popular in the Egyptian market, saw a similar decrease of 0.22% to reach 6,775 EGP per gram, marking a decrease of 15 EGP from the previous day.
Meanwhile, 18-carat gold's price fell to 5,807 EGP per gram, affected by a slight decline of 13 EGP from the previous day. These changes occur amidst stable market performance, with indicators suggesting a balanced market with low volatility reflecting calm in price movements.
Regarding currency markets, the US dollar price remained stable at 52.58 EGP for sale and 51.85 EGP for purchase, with a slight increase of no more than 0.02% compared to yesterday. Other currencies also saw relative stability, with the Saudi Riyal selling at 14.02 EGP, the UAE Dirham at 14.32 EGP, and the British Pound at 70.63 EGP.
