Stable Gold and Currency Prices in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt have shown remarkable stability in recent days, with a slight 0.37% decrease across various gold karats. According to Bakam data, the price of 18-carat gold reached approximately 5,820 EGP per gram, while 21-carat gold reached 6,790 EGP per gram. As for 24-carat gold, it recorded 7,760 EGP per gram, maintaining stability in its daily movement.
In terms of currency markets, the US dollar remained stable at 52.59 EGP for sale and 51.86 EGP for purchase, reflecting relative stability in the foreign exchange market. Additionally, the prices of Arab currencies like the Saudi Riyal and the UAE Dirham remained stable, with the Saudi Riyal at 14.02 EGP for sale and the UAE Dirham at 14.32 EGP.
This stability comes amid continuous monitoring by investors of global and local market developments, as gold remains a safe haven amid global economic fluctuations. Technical indicators point to market balance with low volatility, reflecting relative calm in the local market.
Meanwhile, silver prices stabilized at 131.00 EGP per gram, reflecting stability in the local precious metals market. It is noted that the international ounce of 21-carat gold recorded around 4043.97 USD, confirming the balance of the Egyptian market with the international market.
